Tornado touches down in the small town of Elie, Manitoba Canada. Elie is located 25 miles west of Winnipeg. There was extensive property damage but miraculously there were no fatalities and only minor injuries.
This was the strongest reported tornado in Canadian history. Environment Canada weather office rated it at an F5.
There were 7 confirmed tornadoes in southern Manitoba that weekend.
